POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for safely operating a triaxle tanker or transport with a 48 foot tank from a water source to a customer location to either pick up or deliver water, ensuring that all related paperwork and driver logs are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Possesses a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement.
Meets the minimum physical requirements stipulated in Section 391.41 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test as well as be subject to and pass random drug tests as required.
Able to operate a tanker truck in a safe manner.
Completes all driver logs and related paperwork effectively and timely.
Performs all pre-trip inspections of all vehicles and equipment.
Safely opens and closes water truck values to load and unload water.
Properly lifts and maneuvers hoses on and off the tanker truck to load and unload water.
Hooks up and disconnects trailers as required.
Ability to drive through all weather, road and traffic conditions.
Must be able to recognize, read and understand Hazardous Materials documents.
Must be available to work varied shifts and schedules.
Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.
Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1. High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

2. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A or B with Tanker Endorsement.

3. Must possess a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) with limited to no violations/convictions.

4. Ability to work in all weather conditions.
